Dang!

Talked with Precision Rubber today about my running boards and got some bad news. Apparently they were in the final stage of production when he noticed the rubber wasn't bonded properly on one of the boards. He uses a special glue from Germany and has never had problems with it, but wouldn't you know, it was a problem this time. He says he can't just peel it off and reglue - the whole thing has to be done over from scratch. That means 6-8 weeks more time I'm sure, not what I wanted to hear.

Did finally find some brown ribbed floor mat to use in the rumble compartment from Restoration Specialties, but it is only 36" wide, not 48". That means I need 14, not 7 ft. of it, and will have to patch it together. They were nice enough to give me a 50% discount however, so that helps (their catalog listed a 48" wide item, but apparently it is no longer available).

Off tomorrow to the annual Pontiac Oakland Club International (POCI) convention in Greenville, SC. I'll be staying with Pontiac friend Andy Lee and wife Ginny for the three days. Should be fun.
