Who reads this thing??

It's been awhile since I've been able to get back to the car, but I continue to receive interesting emails from people who have found this blog. Most, as you would expect, from other 1936 Pontiac owners. The other day I heard from Ted Rees in Australia, who send along this photo with the question, "Is it a 1935 Pontiac 8 with a LaSalle grill emblem?"

Aussy 35

The answer is yes, as evidenced by the fender mounted parking lights and the hood ornament. The side grill vents run vertical as well. The LaSalle badge is a mystery; probably someone trying to dress it up.

That's Ted's brother, circa 1953.

I am one of those random readers of which you wrote. I found this blog to be interesting, as I have a 36 Cord 810 (with a 50's hot rod drive train) and 60 thunderbird convertible in line for restoration. I conducted a search for restoration blogs and yours was one of the very few I found. Keep updating!!

Another anonymous reader here,just
writing in to let you know how much I enjoyed following this restoration and the astonishing documentation you have taken.
1936 is my favorite year for Chevrolet/Buick/Olds/Pontiac,especially the coupes.

Cheers from the Westcoast of Canada,
Jay
