Woodgraining
Ken is still galavanting around the country, so I still haven't seen the car in over a month now. However, two big events happened yesterday.
First and most importantly, a future owner of the car was born: grandson Charles Robert Shafto, first child of my youngest son Jeff and partner Sue Lamb. Ironically, after all the effort I made to leave New Jersey to live in Maine, he was born in New Brunswick, 15 miles from where I grew up! Ain't he cute?
And then good, but much less exciting news: the woodgrained pieces are back from Grain-It Technologies in Florida. I was told they are the best in the country at what they do, and wasn't disappointed when I saw their work. Here's a sample (the glovebox door), that looks even better in real life:
I am anxious to get back to this project, but guess I'm still a few weeks away from doing that.
Late update: Ken called, he's back and as soon as I can find a free day I'll be back on the project!
